EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION Dr. Christopher H. Hoye has been the Principal of the Gateway School since 1993. He has devoted the last 18 years to children with special needs. Dr. Hoye spent three years as a Special Education Teacher, and 6 years at a Rhode Island ARC program where he was the Director of Residential Services. After leaving Rhode Island, he worked as the Assistant Principal for the Rockland County BOCES. Dr. Hoye holds a BA in Elementary Education from Goddard College, with an MA in Special Education - Mental Retardation and Learning Disabilities from Rhode Island College, and a Doctoral Degree in Special Education Administration and Special Education from Syracuse University. His vision for the Gateway School is to help develop and implement educational programs for students that are relevant, meaningful, and motivating. David Mock has been with Gateway School for ten years and currently serves as the Supervisor of Instruction. Mr. Mock is certified as an Elementary School Teacher, Secondary School Teacher, Teacher of the Handicapped and Supervisor. Mr. Mock's education includes a Bachelor's Degree from Syracuse University in Education with a minor in Social Studies. Mr. Mock received his Masters Degree at Kean University n Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities. Mr. Mock is committed to improving the lives of students with special needs. Mr. Mock believes that each child is unique and has special abilities and interests that must be recognized and developed. |
