The Gateway School admits student of any race, gender, color, national, or ethnic origin. The school accepts students who are interested in completing their education and who need an individualized education program and the specialized resources Gateway has to offer
PARENT INFO
At the Gateway School support, training and communication for our families are hallmarks of our parent program. These are accomplished through the following programs.
- P.I.E. - Parents in Education
Quarterly meetings with presentations by staff and guest speakers on a variety of topics including transition planning, estate planning, wills, behavioral training, and agencies for families of the handicapped. - P.T.O. - Parent Teacher Organization
Monthly meeting with various topics including special programs and fund raising. - Daily Communication Books.
- Progress Reports.
- Parent/Teacher conferences.
- Parent Training.
- Musical Programs Here the students get an opportunity to perform for families, friends, and guest during the holidays, in the spring and at graduation.

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE Your child's Public School District must approve any out-of-district placement. Typically, the school district will send information containing your child's IEP, progress notes, and any other relevant documents to Gateway. Gateway's Principal or Assistant Principal will then meet with a member of the Child Study Team, parents, guardians, and the perspective student for an interview and intake. Based on the child's records and interview, the school district will be notified if your child will be accepted. Your district will then arrange for transportation. 
FINANCIAL AID - TUITION COSTS Tuition and transportation costs are provided by the local school district where the child lives.  |
