Technology

We incorporate technology into all of our classrooms and therapy areas.  Each classroom has a flat screen television with a DVD player.  Computers are in every room.  Touch screens and other adaptive devices are used so that the computer is accessible to everyone.

Augmentative devices are being used by some of our students. Our speech therapists will recommend evaluations for augmentative devices for our students who need them. They are also able to program the devices for the student in order to implement them. The use of the I-Pod as a device to help our students facilitate communication is also being explored by our therapists.

The occupational and physical therapists use the Wii Fit System as part of our students therapy. This is a great motivator for our students. They feel like they are playing but they are really working on improving their motor skills.
